An absolute must see musical for Queen fans featuring - of course - "We Will Rock You" and 30 more like as "Another One Bites the Dust," "Hammer to Fall," "A Kind of Magic".
The story is set in the future, the Earth has been renamed Planet Mall and reminds of the Orwellian world: total alignment and synchronisation.
Everywhere, the kids watch the same movies, wear the same fashions and think the same thoughts. It's a safe, happy Ga Ga world. Unless you're a rebel. Unless you want to rock. On Planet Mall all musical instruments are banned. The Company Computers generate the tunes and the kids download them. It is an age of Boy Bands and of Girl Bands. But resistance is growing...

Matinees: Saturday 2.30pm
Evenings: Monday-Saturday 7.30pm
Running Time: 2 hours and 45 minutes

Dominion Theatre
268-269 Tottenham Court Road
London

This large venue serves as both a theatre and a cinema. Originally seating some 2,835 people on 3 levels, the capacity has been reduced to 2,007 with just the stalls and first circle now being used.

Although the theatre initially presented stage musicals, within its first year it was showing 'talkies' interspersed with short seasons of opera and dance as well as variety seasons. During the 1950's and 60's the theatre has presented long runs of musical films including "South Pacific" and "The Sound of Music". The theatre has also been used as a concert venue, with Judy Garland, Maurice Chevalier, Sophie Tucker and Shirely Maclaine being just some of the names who have appeared here.

More recently Dave Clark's musical "Time" starring Cliff Richard (in his West End stage debut) and Laurence Olivier, opened here in 1986. Other productions here have included 'famously' short-lived flop "Bernadette", the Broadway hit production "Grand Hotel" which also flopped. "Grease" opened here 15 July 1993 and remained until 19 October 1996 when it transferred to the Cambridge Theatre. Other musicals that have been staged here include Disney's "Beauty and the Beast", "Notre Dame du Paris" and Queen's "We Will Rock You".
