Showing at Piccadilly Theatre

Piccadilly Theatre
Denman Street
London

One of London's larger theatres, the Piccadilly has been the home of several West End firsts: Henry Fonda made his stage debut here and, in its incarnation as a cinema, it premiered the first talking picture to be shown in Britain, Al Jolson's The Singing Fool. From Sir Ian McKellen to Dame Edna, many famous faces have performed here over the years giving this theatre a reputation that hopefully will not be tarnished by its recent hop on the back-catalogue bandwagon with Jailhouse Rock.
